Many retailers are tempted to use a frequent BOGO (buy one, get one) strategy to boost sales. I caution you that the extreme BOGO and other discounts can be the retail marketing equivalent of crack cocaine, in that you quickly get high (sales, that is) but then come down hard. Your expected price becomes half price. Important to communicate value creatively without dramatic price reductions.
