CASE STUDY: JOE'S ITALIAN ICES
A franchise organization specializing in frozen desserts

We worked with this up and coming franchise chain to build their brand name and sales.  Compared to the competition, they had a high quality, innovative cream ice product that was very popular.

Their stores closed during the cooler months, from October through March.  To begin their season, we created “The Philadelphia Polar Bear Club”.  People were invited to jump into the Delaware River on March 1st, celebrating the opening day of the season.  Free Italian ices were given out at their stores all day that day.  The TV cameras were there every year giving Joe's region-wide coverage.  Here is an in-store poster and a photo of the Polar Bear Club “swim.”

Joe's differentiated itself from competitors by being known for exciting new products, introduced with fun and excitement!

In another promotion, Joe's increased loyalty, average customer visits, and average ticket with this month-long Taste-A-Thon that motivated customers to expand their repertoire and try new flavors.  If a customer purchased 15 different flavors in the month, they received a humorous t-shirt free.
